Dude Movie Announced: Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju Set for Diwali 2025 Release

Young sensation Pradeep Ranganathan returns with his fourth film as a lead actor. Titled Dude, the makers officially announced the movie and confirmed its grand Diwali 2025 theatrical release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Mamitha Baiju joins as the female lead in this much-anticipated project. Mythri Movie Makers, one of South India’s top production houses, backs the film. The studio earlier ventured into Tamil cinema with Good Bad Ugly, and Dude marks their second major Tamil production.

First Look and Title Reveal of Dude

The filmmakers unveiled a fresh update by revealing the official title and the first look poster. The poster shows Pradeep Ranganathan with bruises on his face, gripping a sacred thaali (marriage thread) tightly wrapped around his palms. This intense visual suggests an emotional and quirky romantic drama. What fans earlier referred to as PR04, the makers have now confirmed as Dude, a film that blends youthful energy with raw emotion.

Keerthiswaran Directs, Sai Abhyankkar Composes Music

Keerthiswaran, who trained under acclaimed director Sudha Kongara, makes his directorial debut with Dude. He crafted a fresh, offbeat romantic story that perfectly suits Pradeep’s energetic screen presence. Sai Abhyankkar, a rising music director in Kollywood, scores the soundtrack. His music aims to uplift the film’s vibrant and emotional moments.

Strong Cast and Crew Power the Film

Alongside Pradeep and Mamitha, veteran actors Sarathkumar and Rohini Molleti play pivotal roles. Hridhu Haroon also joins the ensemble. Niketh Bommi, who shot Pradeep’s blockbuster Dragon, handles the cinematography. Netflix has already secured the OTT rights, ensuring that Dude reaches a global audience after its theatrical run.
