Dude 2 on the Cards: Sequel Plans Underway for Pradeep Ranganathan-Mamitha Baiju Starrer

Following the commercial success of Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, discussions about a sequel have officially begun. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the romantic comedy emerged as a box-office winner, grossing over Rs. 100 crore worldwide.

Director Keerthiswaran, who made his directorial debut with Dude, recently shared an exciting update regarding the franchise’s future. In a recent interview, the filmmaker revealed that he has already pitched a sequel idea to Pradeep Ranganathan, one that retains the essence and spirit of the original film.

According to Keerthiswaran, work on the script for Dude 2 is currently underway. He stated that if everything falls into place, the sequel will soon move into production. The director also clarified that the proposed sequel will be a direct continuation of the story established in Dude, rather than a standalone film.
