The long weekend on the occasion of Independence Day is rushed with too many movies. Out of those, two Telugu’s major releases were Harish Shankar’s Mr. Bachchan and Puri Jagannadh’s Double Ismart. The first day box office report is out. Check the numbers below.
Mr. Bachchan has collected a total gross of Rs, 7.80 Crores nad a share of Rs. 5.26 Crores. And, an additional Rs. 1.8 Crores for the special premiere shows a day earlier screened on 14th August’s night.
Double Ismart had scored a total gross of Rs. 12.45 Crores worldwide and a share of Rs. 7.30 Crores.
Double Ismart performed better when compared to Mr Bachahan whose hype and promotions were significantly more than Double Ismart. Both the movies opened with bad word of mouth and received criticism from the netizens over the problematic comedy and romantic scenes.
