Ranveer Singh’s spy-action thriller Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, continues to display impressive momentum at the box office. After opening to a decent start last Friday, the film benefitted from strong word of mouth, with BookMyShow ticketing data confirming a steady upward trend over the weekend.
On its opening day, Dhurandhar registered 376K tickets on BookMyShow. The positive reception pushed the numbers up to 462K on day two and 490K on day three. Despite Monday being a working day, the film managed 378K tickets, nearly matching its opening day. The real surprise came on Tuesday, with sales rising to 408K, surpassing both Friday and Monday.
Early advance bookings indicate that the film’s strong run is far from over. PIC (Paid Instant Confirmed) advance sales climbed from 47,000 on Monday to 80,000 on Tuesday, and further to 98,000 for Wednesday at the time of writing. If the trend continues, Wednesday could mark the film’s biggest day yet. Trade circles are also optimistic that the second weekend may outperform the first.
Dhurandhar marks the first installment of a two-part story, with the sequel slated for release on March 19, 2026. Given the current momentum, the second part is expected to open even stronger at the box office.
Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film stars Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, with Manav Gohil, Danish Pandor, Saumya Tandon, and Gaurav Gera in supporting roles.
