Dhanush, Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela’s OM Unveiled: First Strike Teaser Sparks Pushpa Comparisons

Dhanush’s much-awaited 55th film has officially been titled “OM.” The makers unveiled the title along with a powerful promo, “OM First Strike,” giving audiences a glimpse into a world filled with forests, rebellion, and high-stakes conflict.

Helmed by “Amaran” director Rajkumar Periasamy, the film features Dhanush alongside Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela, with Mammootty playing a significant role. The stellar cast and the director’s previous success have raised expectations around the project.

The teaser opens with breathtaking shots of mountains, dense forests, and a temple town before shifting to an intense showdown in a rain-soaked jungle. The setting hints at a story rooted in red sanders smuggling and the violent clashes surrounding it, drawing inevitable comparisons with the backdrop of Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa.”

While the teaser keeps the plot under wraps, its rugged visuals and action-heavy tone suggest that “OM” will offer a gritty cinematic experience. The film is slated to hit theatres on October 16, 2026, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
