September 2025 promises to be a blockbuster month for Mega fans, as Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara and Pawan Kalyan’s OG gear up for grand theatrical releases. After facing multiple delays and intense speculation, both films have now locked their dates, sending fans into a frenzy of excitement.
Vishwambhara Aims for September 18th Release
Industry sources confirm that Vishwambhara is aiming for a September 18th release. Though the makers haven’t officially announced it yet, insiders reveal that the VFX team is racing to finish the final stages, and UV Creations is closing all pending deals. The team plans to make a formal announcement by July-end.
Director Mallidi Vassishta, who earlier delivered Bimbisara, is helming this big-budget socio-fantasy Telugu film. Chiranjeevi, Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, and Ashika Ranganath play the lead roles. M. M. Keeravani composed the music, and the first single, “Raama Raama,” released on Hanuman Jayanti, left a strong impression for its spiritual depth and devotion to Lord Hanuman.
Originally, the makers planned a Sankranti 2025 release. They later explored summer and August dates, but due to intensive VFX work, they shifted their focus to September. With Dasara falling on October 2nd, the team strategically chose to release the film a week earlier to capitalize on the festive season.
OG Confirms September 25th Worldwide Release
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s OG has officially locked its September 25th release date. Director Sujeeth and producer DVV Danayya have finalized everything for a grand worldwide release. Emraan Hashmi, who makes his Telugu debut, and Priyanka Mohan star alongside Kalyan.
The story follows Ojas Gambheera, a deadly gangster who returns to Mumbai after ten years to eliminate his rival, Omi Bhau. The team will release the film in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, aiming for a massive pan-India impact. Netflix has bagged the digital streaming rights, further increasing the buzz around the film.
The makers initially scheduled OG for September 2024, but they postponed it due to Pawan Kalyan’s political campaign. Now that the team has resolved all delays, fans have begun the countdown to the September 25th release.
Back-to-Back Bonanza for Mega Fans
If Vishwambhara arrives on September 18th and OG follows on September 25th, Mega fans will witness a dream double treat at the theatres. With back-to-back releases of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, September 2025 could become a historic month at the box office.
Both films carry high expectations and promise to pull huge crowds during the Dasara season. This September, the Mega Brothers are all set to take over cinemas and deliver unforgettable entertainment to their fans across the globe.
