This Diwali, the Telugu box office is set for an exciting clash as four films Mithra Mandali, Telusu Kada, K Ramp, and the dubbed film Dude gear up for release. Among them, Mithra Mandali, starring Priyadarshi and Niharika NM, will hit theaters on October 16, with paid premieres scheduled for October 15.
At the film’s pre-release event held on Monday, producer Bunny Vas addressed the growing trend of online negativity surrounding the film’s release. Speaking candidly, he urged audiences and industry circles to promote healthy competition rather than resorting to trolling.
“Four films are releasing this Diwali, and I genuinely wish for all of them to do well,” Bunny Vas said. “Success for one film shouldn’t come at the cost of another. Some think that trolling others will help their movie win, but that’s not how it works. If a film is good, people will watch it; if not, they’ll reject it. The audience decides, not us.”
He further emphasized that true competition should be rooted in fairness and positivity: “Even if my film doesn’t do well, I’ll still wish success for others. Maybe that’s why I’ve been blessed with consistent success.”
In a lighter tone, Bunny Vas also commented on those involved in online hate campaigns. “If you’re trolling, at least charge more,” he joked. “You’re absorbing negativity in exchange for your own positive energy. Stay positive there’s enough space for everyone if the films are good.”
While he refrained from naming anyone, his remarks were seen as a subtle response to the tense atmosphere among the four Diwali releases.
*Mithra Mandali* features Priyadarshi, Niharika NM, Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi, and Prasad Behara in key roles. The film is presented by Bunny Vas under BV Works and produced by Kalyan Manthina, Bhanu Pratapa, and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala, with music composed by RR Dhruvan.
