Allu Sirish’s ‘Buddy’ was supposed to arrive at the cinemas on July 26th. However, it has now been postponed to August 2nd.
The postponement may have been done to avoid a direct box-office clash with Dhanush’s ‘Raayan’ in Tamil Nadu (assuming Studio Green has plans to release it in Tamil as well).
The action comedy has already been delayed by a year. Originally, it was planned to be made with Sandeep Kishan as the hero. Later, Sirish was roped in after Sandeep Kishan walked out of the project for unknown reasons. The first glimpse of ‘Buddy’ was released about a year ago. Given these factors, repeated postponements are hurting the perceptions about ‘Buddy’.
