Director Buchi Babu Sana, who made a powerful debut with the 2021 blockbuster Uppena, now teams up with Ram Charan for his highly anticipated sports drama Peddi. The film unfolds in the rural landscapes of Vizianagaram and already grabs attention for its authenticity. The latest update reveals an interesting move by the director, he personally approached the popular YouTube channel Filmymoji to perfect the Vizianagaram dialect.

Why Buchi Babu Reached Out to Filmymoji

Since Peddi portrays rural life in Vizianagaram, Buchi Babu wanted the dialogues to sound natural. To achieve this, he contacted Sai Kiran from Filmymoji, a channel that entertains audiences with humorous sketches in local dialects. In a recent interview, Sai Kiran revealed that Buchi Babu invited him to help write dialogues for the film. Sai Kiran explained that he could not accept the offer fully because of his ongoing commitments with Filmymoji. Still, he contributed some inputs that helped shape the dialogues and ensured the team captured the rural slang accurately.

This revelation spread quickly across social media. Ram Charan fans praised Buchi Babu for showing such dedication to detail and presenting the film’s language with authenticity.

Peddi: A Grand Sports Drama

Peddi stands out as one of the most ambitious films in Ram Charan’s career. Vriddhi Cinemas, in association with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, produces the film on a massive scale. The project boasts a stellar cast that includes Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma.

The technical crew adds further strength. AR Rahman composes the music, R Rathnavelu handles cinematography, Naveen Nooli edits the film, and Avinash Kolla takes care of production design. With this team, the film already raises huge expectations.

Ram Charan’s Striking Transformation

The makers recently showcased Ram Charan’s rugged look, which created a storm online. The posters displayed him with messy hair, a rough beard, a nose ring, and bold attire. In one striking image, he even held a worn-out cricket bat under floodlights. Celebrity stylist Aalim Hakim crafted this raw makeover, and fans hailed it as one of Charan’s strongest avatars so far.

Release Date and Expectations

The team initially referred to the project as RC16. They launched it with a muhurtham ceremony in Hyderabad on March 20, 2024, where Chiranjeevi clapped the board and Allu Aravind presented the script. Later, on Ram Charan’s 40th birthday (March 27, 2025), they announced the official title Peddi.

The makers now locked March 27, 2026 for the release, once again aligning it with Ram Charan’s birthday. They will release the film in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, turning it into a true pan-India spectacle.

With Buchi Babu’s focus on authentic storytelling and Ram Charan’s remarkable new avatar, Peddi promises to stand out as one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema.
