Brahmanandam Reveals Why He Never Chose Bollywood – The Real Reason

Legendary comedian Brahmanandam, known as the King of Comedy in Indian cinema, finally opened up about why he stayed away from Bollywood despite his nationwide popularity. The Telugu superstar, who holds a Guinness World Record for acting in more than 1,000 films, addressed this long-asked question during the launch of his autobiography Me (English) and Nenu Mee Brahmanandam (Telugu) at the Foreign Correspondents Club (FCC) of South Asia in Delhi.

The book now comes in six languages. Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu unveiled it and praised Brahmanandam for entertaining generations and inspiring millions.

Why Brahmanandam Didn’t Work in Bollywood

At the event, Brahmanandam gave an honest explanation about his limited presence in Bollywood. He said language stopped him from pursuing a full-fledged career in Hindi films. “Comedy depends on timing, diction, and subtlety. Since Hindi is not my mother tongue, I feel I cannot create the same magic as I do in Telugu films,” he revealed.

His candid statement ends years of speculation. Although he had the fame and the opportunity to enter Bollywood, Brahmanandam chose to stay loyal to Telugu cinema. He wanted to express himself freely and deliver maximum impact through his craft.
