In a significant development, authorities discovered that Sajid Akram was using an Indian passport, reportedly obtained from Hyderabad. This revelation has drawn widespread attention and raised several questions about his background and movements.

Citing officials from the Australian Bureau of Immigration, international media reports stated that Sajid Akram had traveled to Palestine between November 1 and November 28 using his Indian passport, while his son Naveed was traveling on an Australian passport. Initially, there were reports suggesting possible links to Pakistan, but these claims have since been clarified.

Amid these reports, the Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) office released an important statement to clarify the facts. After settling there, he married a European woman, Venera Grosso, and the couple has two children a son and a daughter both of whom are Australian citizens.

The DGP office further stated that Sajid Akram did not maintain significant contacts in Hyderabad. It was confirmed that after moving to Australia, he visited India six times, primarily in connection with family property matters. The statement also emphasized that there is no criminal record against him in Hyderabad.

Additionally, family members in Hyderabad reportedly told the authorities that they were unaware of any links between Sajid Akram and terrorist organizations.
