‘Bommarillu’ is going to arrive at the cinemas all over again. The film’s re-release was made official today by Dil Raju’s production house. The Siddharth-Genelia starrer will be re-released on September 21st.
The 2006 blockbuster, which solidified the position of Sri Venkateswara Creations, had Bhaskar wielding the megaphone. Since then, he has directed movies like ‘Parugu’ and ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’. ‘Jack – Konchem Krack’ is his upcoming movie, starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda in the lead.
‘Bommarillu’ had stellar performances not just by the lead pair but also the Prakash Raj-Jayasudha duo. The comedy portions were entirely situational, while Sunil was also rib-tickling. Devi Sri Prasad’s songs became chartbusters overnight. The melodious ‘Bommani Geesthe’, the foot-tapping ‘Laloo Darwaja’, the emotional ‘Nammaka Thappani’, and the sprightly ‘Appudo Ippudo’ were big hits. ‘We Have a Romeo’ was a hit among college students.
‘Bommarillu’ is being re-released on September 21st because there are no major releases happening the coming week. For producer Dil Raju, the film remains very special.
