Bigg Boss Telugu fame Syed Sohel was seen in a film titled ‘Bootcut Balaraju’ in February this year. The film saw thin crowds turning up at theatres. Vexed with the lack of response from the audience, Sohel broke down in front of a multiplex and said, “Whatever happened to my supporters from the Bigg Boss days? Those people commented enthusiastically on YouTube in my favour at that time. Why are they not supporting me when my movie is in theatres?”
In fact, Sohel’s teary outburst has become meme material. Whenever, say, a good cricketer doesn’t play well, meme-makers come out with the Sohel template. “You played so well in the league stage? Why are you not performing in the knock-out match?”
In a recent statement, Sohel said that he regrets blaming the audience for the failure of ‘Bootcut Balaraju’, which he realizes had poor content. “Bigg Boss Tamil participating Kavin Raj’s films are doing well at the Tamil box office. I have to come up with good content to win the audience,” Sohel said.
