Little Hearts has turned into one of the biggest surprise blockbusters of the year and continues its strong box office run despite facing competition from several big releases. The team held their success celebrations in Hyderabad, where popular actor-producer Bandla Ganesh made headlines with his fiery speech.
Bandla Ganesh Praises Little Hearts’ Success
At the event, which Vijay Deverakonda and producer Allu Aravind attended as chief guests, Ganesh praised the film’s team for proving that good storytelling still rules the box office. Director Sai Martand helmed the film, with Mouli and Shivani Nagaram playing the lead roles. The team made the film on a budget of just Rs 2.5 crore and collected nearly Rs 50 crore at the box office.
Ganesh passionately told the audience that big directors should bow their heads in shame after seeing what Little Hearts achieved. He said, “This film pulled audiences to theatres with clean content, not star power or a massive budget. All filmmakers, including myself, should learn from this.”
Strong Words on Big-Budget Productions
Ganesh used the platform to criticize the skyrocketing production costs in the Telugu film industry. He pointed out that some large-scale projects spend Rs 2.5 crore for just three days of shooting. “With that same amount, the team made Little Hearts and turned it into a blockbuster. That shows the power of content-driven cinema,” Ganesh said.
A Call for More Content-Driven Films
Ganesh directly targeted filmmakers who believe that only Rs 500–Rs 1000 crore projects can attract audiences. He argued that Telugu cinema needs more heartfelt, family-friendly films like Little Hearts. He said, “If we make 12 such films every year, our industry will thrive for the next 100 years.” The audience applauded his words.
Ganesh’s remarks resonated with many at the event and strengthened the belief that small-budget films with strong stories can compete with the biggest blockbusters. The massive success of Little Hearts now stands as a shining example for filmmakers to focus on quality content instead of lavish spending.
