On the occasion of Dr. Prathap C. Reddy’s 93rd birthday, the Apollo Foundation has launched a major initiative to support mothers and newborns. The foundation introduced Model Anganwadi Centres in Pithapuram, aiming to improve healthcare, nutrition, and early childhood care.

A Commitment to Maternal and Infant Health

This initiative is driven by a strong mission to transform motherhood and childcare. The key objectives include:

✅ Zero Maternal & Infant Mortality – Ensuring every mother and newborn receives proper medical care.
✅ 1,000-Day Program – Focusing on nutrition, hygiene, and maternal care from pregnancy to post-birth.
✅ Women Empowerment – Providing skill-building programs for financial independence.
✅ Community Development – Renovating 109 Anganwadi Centres to improve facilities for children and mothers.

Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals’ CSR division, shared her vision for this program on social media. She expressed her gratitude for her Thatha (grandfather) Dr. Reddy’s legacy and highlighted the importance of strengthening maternal healthcare.

Pawan Kalyan’s Support and Development in Pithapuram

Pithapuram, represented by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, is witnessing significant development efforts. As part of his election promise, several infrastructure and healthcare projects are already underway.

The Janasena Party’s official X (Twitter) handle thanked Upasana Kamineni Konidela for leading this impactful initiative. They acknowledged her efforts in improving healthcare for mothers and children.

Mega Family’s Contribution to Pithapuram

The Mega family has been actively supporting development projects in Pithapuram. Actor Ram Charan has taken steps to build a multi-specialty hospital in the region. Reports suggest he has already purchased land for the project.

Following this, Upasana Kamineni Konidela stepped forward to support her uncle, Pawan Kalyan, by launching relief programs in Pithapuram. Her Model Anganwadi initiative is the first step in expanding maternal and child welfare programs to more areas in the future.
