Tollywood’s successful director Anil Ravipudi was honored with the Vijaya Krishna Silver Crown Award 2025 at a grand event. The award ceremony was held on the birth anniversary (February 20) of the legendary actress and director Vijaya Nirmala. The event also marked the launch of the Jandhyala Diamond Jubilee Book by actor Vijaya Krishna Naresh.
A Tribute to Legends
Speaking at the event, Anil Ravipudi expressed his gratitude for receiving the award named after two iconic personalities.
“I am truly honored to receive the Vijaya Krishna Silver Crown Award. Krishna garu is a true superstar, and Vijaya Nirmala garu is a trailblazer, holding a record as the most prolific female director. Receiving an award in their name is a moment of pride for me. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to Naresh garu for continuing this legacy.”
He further acknowledged his inspiration, Jandhyala garu, saying, “I owe my comedy timing to him. His films have shaped my style. I believe laughter connects people, and I feel blessed to bring joy to audiences. With God’s grace, I have a fantastic comedy film lined up for Sankranthi 2025.”
Star-Studded Event
The award ceremony was organized by Shrutilaya Seal Well Corporation – Artists’ United Forum. It was attended by several notable personalities, including Telangana State Assembly Speaker Sri Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Hero Manchu Vishnu, Shiva Balaji, Pavitra Lokesh, Jandhyala Annapurna, Sri Lakshmi, Pradeep, Sainath, and other film celebrities.
Actor Naresh VK, son of Vijaya Nirmala, shared emotional memories of his mentors, Krishna garu, Vijaya Nirmala garu, and Jandhyala garu. He recalled how Jandhyala played a crucial role in shaping his career and improving his Telugu diction.
Celebrating Gratitude and Legacy
Actor Manchu Vishnu emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring the legends of cinema. “In today’s world, gratitude is rare. This event is a great example for the next generation. We must respect our elders and their contributions.”
Sai Nath Thotapalli, author of the Jandhyala Vajrotsava Edition, praised Naresh’s dedication to keeping Jandhyala’s legacy alive. “Naresh garu’s devotion to Jandhyala is truly commendable. It’s heartwarming to see his unwavering respect and admiration.”
