The film failed at the box office, so Anil quickly shifted to Mumbai. There, he delivered blockbuster hits through the ’80s and ’90s and built his stardom. Decades later, he connected again with Telugu audiences through Animal, which turned into a huge hit.

Suriya and Venky Atluri Join Hands

Suriya has teamed up with Venky Atluri, who built a reputation for making youthful entertainers. The makers are shooting this project as a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil instead of dubbing it later. That approach gives Anil Kapoor a genuine re-entry into Tollywood. Sources confirm that Anil will play a key role in flashback episodes that drive the story forward. His presence adds weight to the film and also draws attention from Hindi audiences.

Cast, Crew, and Production

The film stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Raveena Tandon and Sarath Kumar also appear in powerful roles. GV Prakash Kumar composes the music, while Naga Vamsi produces the film under the prestigious Sithara Entertainments banner. Industry buzz suggests the makers may title the film Vishwanathan & Sons, but they have not yet announced it officially.

Suriya has completed Karuppu and now focuses fully on this bilingual project. For him, this film marks his first direct Telugu movie.
