Akhanda 2 Will Create History: Nandamuri Balakrishna

Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu became the centre of attention at a recent promotional event for Akhanda 2, the much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster Akhanda. The film, produced on a massive budget by 14 Reels Plus Entertainment, is gearing up for a grand release.

Balakrishna revealed exciting details about the film’s making, stating, “Bringing a huge film like this to the big screen is not easy. While others take years to complete such projects, we finished the entire shoot in just 130 days.” He confidently declared that Akhanda 2 will create history in Indian cinema.

He further added, “Akhanda is not an ordinary film. Akhanda 2 is much bigger, much more powerful. Every parent should show this film to their children the content itself carries that kind of strength.”

Praise for Thaman and the Team

Balakrishna showered praise on music director S. Thaman, saying their combination will deliver many more memorable hits. He also hinted that Harshali Malhotra’s character and Aadhi Pinisetty’s role will be “mass-loaded and impactful.”

The actor expressed confidence that Akhanda 2 will turn into a pan-India sensation, especially with the team officially announcing the release date as December 5. The film is presented by Tejaswini Nandamuri and jointly produced by 14 Reels Plus and IVY Entertainment.

Sankranti Release Buzz

Originally, the makers had planned a Sankranti 2026 release, considering Balakrishna’s strong track record of Sankranti blockbusters. However, they later confirmed the new December date. But industry buzz suggests that a couple of major Sankranti releases may get delayed due to post-production hurdles. If that happens, producers are reportedly reconsidering whether Akhanda 2 should reclaim the festive slot.

A Massive Production

Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sanyuktha Menon, Harshali Malhotra, and Aadhi Pinisetty, the film features:
