Nandamuri Balakrishna is all set to return to the big screen with his latest film Akhanda 2, which is scheduled for release on December 5. The paid premiere shows were initially planned to take place in India on December 4.

However, in a sudden turn of events, last-minute complications have forced the makers to cancel the premiere screenings across the country. According to industry sources, unresolved payment issues related to the production team’s earlier film have resurfaced, creating hurdles at the final stage.

The makers issued an official statement on social media stating, “#Akhanda2 Premieres scheduled are canceled due to technical issues. We’ve tried our best, but a few things are beyond our control. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

With this announcement, it is confirmed that the film will not have its planned premiere in the Telugu states or anywhere else in India.

These logistical and financial setbacks have now become a major talking point, and it remains to be seen whether the situation will impact the film’s overall box office performance.

On the bright side, the United States premieres will proceed as planned, with no delays or cancellations. The team has already begun preparations for the paid premieres overseas, even as domestic screenings remain called off at the last minute.
