Samyuktha of ‘SIR’ and ‘Virupaksha’ fame is in the news over the launch of a new movie of hers. Described by director Yogesh KMC as a “female-centric, new-age” action thriller, the movie is as yet untitled.
Producer Razesh Danda of Hasya Movies stated that Samyuktha will be the film’s presenter. The film’s cast and crew details are not yet revealed to the fullest extent. Brahma Kadali will be handling the art department.
Speaking at the launch, Samyuktha said that female-centric movies have been stereotypical. “They are about the oppression of women or are full of the horrors faced by women. Why can’t a female-centric movie be something other than empowerment or such themes? I wanted to do a female-centric film that would also suit a male lead,” the actress, who was recently seen in ‘Love Me: If You Dare’, said.
“I am shooting for four or five films these days,” she added. Nikhil Siddhartha’s ‘Swayambhu’ and Sharwanand’s 37th movie are two of them.
