Samantha Ruth Prabhu has made a strong comeback with Maa Inti Bangaaram, which has turned into a clear box-office winner within its first weekend. The family action drama has emerged as a super hit, collecting an impressive Rs 40 crore gross worldwide in just three days.
Positive word-of-mouth and strong support from family audiences resulted in excellent growth over the weekend. The film witnessed a significant jump in collections on Saturday and Sunday across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, taking its India gross to around Rs 27 crore.
The overseas performance has been equally encouraging. In North America, Maa Inti Bangaaram crossed the coveted $1 million mark within three days, becoming the first Telugu film since the Sankranthi season to register a clean hit in the territory.
The film holds special importance for Samantha, as it marks her return as a lead actress after a gap of three years. It is also her second production venture and her first major success as a producer.
Directed by Nandini Reddy and co-written by Raj Nidimoru, Maa Inti Bangaaram has struck a chord with women audiences, who particularly appreciated Samantha’s saree-clad action avatar. Although the film received mixed reviews, it managed to avoid negative word-of-mouth, helping it attract steady crowds throughout its opening weekend.
With a strong start and positive momentum, Maa Inti Bangaaram is expected to continue its successful run in the coming days.
