Nag Ashwin and Venky Atluri, two of Telugu cinema’s top directors, are making headlines over the debut project of Balakrishna’s son, Mokshagna. Fans are eager to know who will direct the much-anticipated film that will introduce this star kid to Tollywood.
Nag Ashwin is well-known for delivering hits like Mahanati and the blockbuster sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas. Kalki 2898 AD grossed over ₹1000 crore worldwide, and the second part is already in the works. However, before he begins work on Kalki Part 2, Nag Ashwin plans to direct a smaller film. Reports suggest this project could mark Mokshagna’s debut as a lead actor.
Mokshagna’s Film Journey So Far
Initially, Mokshagna was set to debut in a project directed by Prasanth Varma, known for HanuMan. Unfortunately, the film was canceled at the last minute due to undisclosed reasons. Meanwhile, Balakrishna confirmed a sequel to his classic film Aditya 369 and revealed that Mokshagna would star in it. However, there’s been no official progress on this sequel.
With Mokshagna’s schedule now free, the buzz around his collaboration with Nag Ashwin has grown stronger. Nag Ashwin is celebrated for his unique storytelling style, and if confirmed, this could be a remarkable debut for Mokshagna.

At the same time, another director, Venky Atluri, is reportedly in talks with Mokshagna. Venky recently directed Lucky Baskhar starring Dulquer Salmaan. According to sources, Venky has pitched a script for Mokshagna’s debut, which is currently under discussion.
