'Devara' revved up the box office despite not possessing cinematic brilliance. Jr NTR's stamina was on display. On the other hand, Vijay's film (dubbed in Telugu) struggled to register footfalls. The film incurred losses at the Telugu box office. Moving away from the biggies, let's analyze two content-rich films that mattered. '35 - Chinna Katha Kaadu' and 'Sathyam Sundaram' (dubbed). The former, which was a commentary on the education system and children's academic phobias, was a soothing experience to watch. It didn't get the kind of BO success it deserved but it didn't make losses either. 'Sathyam Sundaram', starring Karthi and Arvind Swami, had a sputtering start at the Telugu BO because of the 'Devara' juggernaut.
