Roshan Kanakala’s debut film ‘Bubblegum’ is directed by talented director Ravikant Perepu. Manasa Chaudhary is playing the heroine. Already the teaser, trailer and songs of this movie have created huge buzz with tremendous response. The movie is being produced by Maheshwari Movies in association with People Media Factory and will release on December 29. In this context, hero Roshan Kanakala shared the features of the film in a press conference.
Are you thinking of becoming a hero? Mom and Dad?
mine My dream has been to become an actor since childhood. There was always a desire to make the film as a protagonist who takes it forward. This journey started when I met the director Ravikant and he wanted to do a film with me.
Wasn’t your grandfather used to train many people in acting? Is that how you got interested in acting?
My entire childhood was spent almost in my grandfather’s acting institute. If we were on the first floor, the institute would be on the ground floor. It has a subconscious effect. But I like acting since childhood. It gives a thrill of the unknown. I came here chasing it. I will continue like this.
Have you trained in acting?
I took training from my grandfather for two months. Then I did a course in Los Angeles. I did a course in Pondicherry. Also I discuss with my father and do some practice.
Did you feel like a newcomer when you came to the set?
Ravikant and I.. we did a workshop a month ago, so when the set came up, I didn’t feel like a newcomer.
Your performance in the trailer and teaser is getting a lot of praise? How did you prepare overall?
We have already decided to start shooting after the workshop. We rehearsed the script. How to do it in a scene, what kind of emotion should be conveyed, what kind of costume should be there… we thought of all this before. That preparation helped a lot.
What kind of inputs did Ravikant take from you?
Ravikant is very open. This story is related to my age group. What do I feel in some scenes? How will I react..taken some inputs like this. Ravikanth is the director who examines everyone’s ideas for the betterment of the film.
Your maternal grandparents have a very good reputation in the industry.. Now you are coming as a hero.. Is there any pressure in this regard? Have pleasure?
Definitely a pleasure. This is what I want in my life. It is a pleasure to fulfill it. I have complete faith in the film. We are very confident in terms of content.
Did you give any instructions when you met Chiranjeevi?
We met Chiranjeevi to launch the Izzat song. The concept of our film is to exchange izzat. They talked about their life experiences during the song launch. Also, when we went to Bigg Boss, we did a video with Nagarjuna. At first the audio was not recorded. If you ask him.. he did it once again. That felt great.
Have you given any advice or suggestions?
I will discuss with mom and dad. I take advice and suggestions from them in terms of acting. I will ask if there are any doubts. Mom and Dad watched the movie. But then I was not there. Mom said that dad cried in some scenes. When I asked my father, he said ‘well done’. Dad naturally disagrees. I felt happy to receive such a compliment from him. Mom liked it too.
We heard that the shirtless scene will be the highlight in this?
Yes.. shooting that scene was an unforgettable experience. I walked around the city shirtless for about three hours. At one point I lost all my shyness (laughs). I focused all my attention on that scene and the emotion in it. I learned a lot from that scene
About the mind of the heroine?
I was surprised to see Manasa’s performance. It’s done very well. The dubbing also says it very well. He is very friendly.
About Sricharan’s culinary music?
Sreecharan has created a very new sound for this movie, all the songs are already hits. The music given by the interval block gives goose bumps. The whole movie has very wonderful music.
I sang a song in it. But no special training is required for this. It happened because the director and music director wanted it. (Laughs)
About the producers?
Vishwaprasad and Vivek were very supportive. Strongly believed. Everything was arranged without any hassle.
Siddu Jonnala’s Gadda brother is also acting in this.. How will his role be?
Jairam Eshwar is playing the father character. He is truly a surprise package. His performance entertains everyone.
Sunita’s boy is also coming with his first film..Do you know each other?
There is an introduction. There are occasional encounters. The trailer is good. Looks natural. All the best.
What genre do you like? About the upcoming movies?
There is no such thing as a specific genre. Like any good movie. I like every movie that engages the audience.
I am listening to stories. Currently my focus is on the release of ‘Bubblegum’
