For the past fifty years, the FTPIA – Telugu Cinema Association has been honoring veteran Suryakantam with the Centennial Awards, celebrating her outstanding contributions to Telugu cinema. This remarkable event, titled “Suryakantam Centennial Awards,” was held with great pomp and show, paying homage to the legendary actress and various luminaries across different fields.

Recognizing Suryakantam’s illustrious journey spanning over five decades, the FTPIA – Telugu Cinema Association, in collaboration with senior actress Annapurna and eminent personalities like Ragini, Jyothi, Sandhya Janak, Ajay Ghosh, and others, organized a grand event titled “Suryakantam Centennial Awards.”

The felicitation ceremony took place at a glitzy function attended by esteemed guests, including former Chief Minister Vip Rudraraju Padmaraju, directors V. Samudra, Dorai Raju, senior film journalist Appaji, and other dignitaries. The event aimed to recognize the remarkable achievements of Suryakantam and acknowledge the exceptional talents of several noted actors and contributors in the Telugu film industry.

Former Chief Minister Vip Rudraraju Padmaraju, directors V. Samudra, and Dorai Raju, along with senior film journalist Appaji, had the honor of presenting the awards to distinguished personalities. The awardees included Annapurna, Ragini, Ajay Ghosh, Jyothi, Kirti Nayudu, Anu Prasad, Monica Reddy, Savitri, Yamini Vanga, Suhasini Pandyan, Shravika Choudhary, Lirisa, Vijaya Madhavi, Dimple Priya, Siddharth Raj, Roja Bharati, and many more.

The event was meticulously organized and executed by the event coordinators Chaitanya Janga and Vijay Varma, adding to the festive atmosphere. The joyous celebrations and the conferring of the awards brought immense happiness to the awardees and highlighted the deep appreciation for their significant contributions to the industry.
