Akkineni Nagarjuna’s wish to share the screen with Megastar Chiranjeevi has caught the attention of Telugu cinema fans. At the Itlu Arjuna press meet held on October 16, Nagarjuna revealed that he was eagerly waiting for an opportunity to work with Chiranjeevi. While the statement has sparked excitement among fans, the actor did not confirm any film featuring the two stars.

Nagarjuna Says Content Matters More Than Production

Nagarjuna shared his perspective on film production, making it clear that movies cannot be made simply to fulfil an obligation. He explained that producing a film involves several challenges and that strong content should always be the primary focus. According to him, a movie cannot succeed merely because he presents it, as its content and ability to connect with audiences ultimately determine its performance.

Nagarjuna Impressed With Ravi Teja in Itlu Arjuna

Speaking about Itlu Arjuna, Nagarjuna appreciated Ravi Teja’s performance, especially his scenes with a young girl. He observed that the actor must have worked hard to bring those moments to life. Nagarjuna also drew a comparison between the film’s energy and that of his popular entertainer Ninne Pelladatha.

Release Date Changes and VFX Pose Major Challenges

Nagarjuna explained that changing a film’s release date can create difficulties for the entire team, as several plans and arrangements are built around the original schedule. He also revealed that he was working tirelessly to ensure his film reached theatres on December 24.

Commenting on visual effects, Nagarjuna noted that VFX shots might look impressive when watched on YouTube, but recreating the same impact on the big screen is a much more demanding task. He added that audiences have become more knowledgeable about filmmaking and expect a high-quality cinematic experience.

King 100: Nagarjuna Shares an Interesting Detail

Nagarjuna also discussed his landmark 100th film, King 100, describing it as a proper Telugu film. He revealed that the credit line “Produced by Akkineni Family” had been used for the project. The actor further expressed his enjoyment of films in which he takes on a producer’s role.

When asked about controversies, Nagarjuna responded with humour, questioning whether people were attempting to drag him into one.

Nagarjuna–Chiranjeevi Multistarrer: Will It Happen?

Among the various topics discussed at the Itlu Arjuna press meet, Nagarjuna’s desire to act alongside Chiranjeevi stood out as a major talking point. His statement has once again raised hopes of seeing the two celebrated actors share the screen.

For now, there is no official announcement regarding a collaboration between Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi. However, if the long-awaited combination becomes a reality, it could turn into a memorable cinematic moment for Telugu audiences.

Punchline

Crazy Kalyanam delivers a few good laughs in the first half but loses its grip with an overlong and emotionally overloaded second half.

Story

Keerthi (Anupama Parameswaran) is focused on building a secure future for herself and hopes to achieve it by landing a government job. Her father, Parvathaalu (Naresh), who is unhappy with the troubles created by his son-in-law Balraj (Tharun Bhascker), wants Keerthi to marry into a well-settled family. But his plans go awry when she falls in love with Uday (Akhil Raj), a handloom weaver. What happens when Keerthi’s dreams and her father’s expectations clash, and how their lives change because of her decision, forms the rest of the story.

Positives

Veteran actor Naresh Vijayakrishna is the biggest strength of Crazy Kalyanam. His impeccable comic timing brings several entertaining moments, while his performance in the emotional sequences is equally effective. The first half is handled reasonably well, with the comedy surrounding his attempts to find a suitable match for his daughter working in the film’s favour.

Tharun Bhascker also contributes to some enjoyable sequences, and his combination with the lead cast provides a few laughs. Anupama Parameswaran delivers a good performance as a determined young woman striving for independence. Akhil Raj and the supporting cast are adequate in their respective roles.

Negatives

The second half is the biggest drawback of Crazy Kalyanam. What begins as an entertaining family drama gradually becomes stretched, with too many emotional subplots competing for attention. The lengthy marriage episode consumes considerable screen time without creating the intended impact.

The emotional threads are not woven together effectively, making the narrative feel exhausting at times. Tharun Bhascker’s character undergoes a sudden transformation towards the climax, which feels unconvincing given his behaviour throughout the film. Similarly, Naresh’s emotional restraint following the plot twist lacks the necessary impact because of weak writing. Several scenes also feel overly melodramatic.

Technicalities

Suresh Bobbili’s music and background score are decent, while Shyam Dupati’s cinematography adds value to the proceedings. Shravan Katikaneni’s editing could have been sharper, particularly in the second half, where trimming unnecessary scenes would have improved the pace.

The production values are fair. Director Badrappa Gajula shows a reasonable understanding of family comedy in the first half, but the narrative loses direction in the latter portions. The excessive focus on multiple emotional tracks prevents the film from maintaining a consistent flow.

Rating: 2.75/5

Final Verdict

On the whole, Crazy Kalyanam is an okayish family drama that works in parts. Naresh’s entertaining performance, some effective comedy, and a decent first half keep the proceedings engaging initially. However, the dragged-out marriage episode, weakly connected emotional subplots, and an underwhelming second half prevent the film from reaching its full potential. It offers a few laughs but ultimately falls short of being a satisfying family entertainer.

Elon Musk’s flying Tesla car concept has sparked massive curiosity among automobile enthusiasts. Tesla’s next-generation Roadster could feature SpaceX-inspired technology capable of delivering extraordinary performance and even flying-like stunts. While the idea sounds straight out of a science-fiction movie, turning it into a practical and safe vehicle remains a major challenge.

Tesla’s next-generation Roadster has been in the spotlight since it was first unveiled in 2017. The electric supercar has faced multiple delays, but expectations remain high because of Elon Musk’s ambitious vision. The company has discussed incorporating SpaceX-inspired technology, potentially using advanced propulsion systems to deliver incredible acceleration and performance. These possibilities have raised an exciting question: Could a Tesla car one day perform spectacular moves that look like flying?

However, developing a vehicle capable of such extraordinary stunts is no easy task. Engineers must overcome several challenges involving safety, stability, engineering complexity and regulatory approvals. The cost of developing and implementing this technology could also determine whether such a vehicle becomes commercially viable. Although the concept has generated considerable excitement, a fully flying Tesla car has not yet been demonstrated as a production-ready vehicle.

Tesla’s Roadster project has experienced repeated delays since its original announcement, and its production timeline remains uncertain. While 2028 has been discussed as a potential production target, customers will have to wait for official confirmation regarding its launch and final specifications.

Elon Musk has repeatedly pushed the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, and the Roadster could become another ambitious milestone for Tesla if the company delivers on its promises. For now, the prospect of a flying Tesla remains an exciting possibility rather than a confirmed reality. Whether this futuristic vision becomes a practical vehicle or remains an ambitious experiment is something the automobile industry will be watching closely.

Punchline

Ranabaali has a compelling premise and an engaging first half, but predictable writing and an overlong second half prevent it from reaching its full potential.

Storyline:

Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali (Vijay Deverakonda) is born with a purpose and eventually becomes a legend in a cursed land. Set against the backdrop of British rule in India, the film explores colonial atrocities, grain exports, and the devastating famine that affected the Madras Presidency between 1876 and 1878. As Sir Theodore Hector (Arnold Vosloo) advances his agenda, Ranabaali rises against the British to protect his people and homeland. What drives Ranabaali’s fight, and does he succeed in challenging the colonial administration? The rest of the story unfolds on screen.

Positives

Engaging first half

Sincere storytelling and an interesting historical backdrop

Excellent chemistry between Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika Mandanna’s impressive performance

Arnold Vosloo’s menacing screen presence

Well-executed pre-interval sequence

Impressive cave fight in the second half

Refreshing music and effective background score by Ajay-Atul

Negatives

Predictable narration

Repetitive sequences that revolve around a single point

Patchy visual effects in a few portions

Excessive runtime, particularly in the second half

Lack of emotional depth in crucial scenes

Underwhelming climax and an ineffective twist

Technicalities

Ajay-Atul’s music is one of the film’s major strengths. The duo delivers three good songs, while the background score enhances the impact of several important sequences. Endhayya Saami is soothing and looks beautiful on screen.

Karthika Srinivas’s editing is adequate in the first half, but the second half could have benefited from tighter cuts. Several repetitive portions slow down the narrative, making the film feel unnecessarily lengthy. Jishnu Bhattacharjee and Nirav Shah’s cinematography suits the period-action drama, with the cave fight standing out for its visual presentation. However, the visual effects, particularly during the Madras port episode, appear patchy. Mythri Movie Makers provides adequate production values within the film’s market limitations.

Rating: 2.75/5

Final Verdict

Ranabaali attempts to tell a lesser-explored chapter of Indian history through a period-action drama. Director Rahul Sankrityan deserves credit for his sincere approach and for delivering an engaging first half. Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s chemistry, Arnold Vosloo’s presence, and Ajay-Atul’s music add considerable value to the film.
