Sree Vishnu is back with another interesting character, and his latest outing Comrade Kalyan looks like a perfect blend of romance, comedy and action. The film, directed by Janakiram Marella, is gearing up for its theatrical release this Friday, with Mahima Nambiar playing the female lead.

Comrade Kalyan – Official Trailer | Sree Vishnu | Mahima Nambiar | Janakiram Marella

Set against the backdrop of the Andhra Odisha border in 1992, Comrade Kalyan revolves around a Naxalite who goes into hiding and starts living a secret life with his family in a small town. The newly released theatrical trailer introduces Sree Vishnu’s character and establishes the film’s quirky world. His life takes an unexpected turn when he falls in love with an Odia girl played by Mahima Nambiar. Their language barrier adds plenty of humour to the love story.

However, the story takes a different turn in the second half of the trailer, as the protagonist comes under the radar of the police. A manhunt begins, but even these tense situations are presented with a strong dose of comedy. The trailer suggests that the film will maintain a light-hearted and entertaining tone while blending its period setting with action and romance.

Sree Vishnu appears to be completely in his element, while Radhika, Sudarshan and Shine Tom Chacko play key supporting roles. With an unusual setting, a Naxalite backdrop and Sree Vishnu’s trademark comic timing, Comrade Kalyan looks like an entertaining theatrical outing.

Presented by Kona Venkat, the film is produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under the Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP banner. Vijay Bulganin is composing the music.

Ravi Teja’s nephew Maadhav Bhupathiraju made his acting debut with Maremma, a rural drama directed by Manchala Nagaraj and produced by Mayur Reddy Bandaru. Despite creating some buzz around the debut, the film failed to make a strong impact at the box office. Now, Maremma is heading to OTT, giving audiences another chance to watch the film.

Aha has officially announced Maremma’s OTT release date as October 9, 2026. Interestingly, reports suggest that the film could also be quietly added to the Amazon Prime Video catalogue on the same day. If confirmed, viewers will have multiple streaming options to watch the rural drama.

The film features Deepa Balu, Vikas Vasishta, Vinod Kumar, V. S. Rupa Lakshmi, Dayanand Reddy and others in key roles. Prashanth R. Vihari and Bipradeep Dutta have composed the music. With its theatrical run now behind it, Maremma will be hoping for a better response on OTT.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan made interesting remarks during a public meeting in Proddatur, Kadapa district. While his comments about “war” and crossing limits attracted attention, Pawan Kalyan made it clear that the event was meant for development and not political confrontation.

Addressing the gathering, Pawan Kalyan said he understood the enthusiasm and emotion among the people but asked them not to expect an aggressive political speech from him. He stated that his speeches during elections would be different, whereas the current occasion was about development and peace.

“If They Cross the Line, We Will Fight”

Pawan Kalyan’s statement that “war” would come only when the other side crosses its limits has become the key talking point from the meeting. He said that when such situations arise, people already know how he would respond. At the same time, he stressed that this was not the time for political clashes and that the focus should remain on development.

The remarks came during a meeting held in connection with development initiatives in the Rayalaseema region, including Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 and the Amarajeevi Jaladhara programme. The projects were launched in Proddatur in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.

Development Over Political Confrontation

Pawan Kalyan also spoke about the need to move Rayalaseema forward through development rather than conflicts. He stressed that the region’s identity and spirit should not be associated only with fights and violence, but with progress and development.

His speech largely focused on development-related issues and the benefits expected from water and infrastructure initiatives in the region. The emphasis was on delivering development rather than turning an official government programme into a political platform.

What Message Did Pawan Kalyan Send?

Pawan Kalyan’s comments are being discussed as a message about keeping government development programmes focused on development rather than political attacks. His remarks suggested that political battles can be addressed at the appropriate time, while official programmes should remain focused on public welfare.

The contrast in his statement was clear: peace and development when the situation demands it, and a stronger political response if limits are crossed. His Proddatur speech therefore drew attention not just for the “war” remark, but also for his repeated emphasis on development in Rayalaseema.

The release of Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutumbam (AK 47) has been postponed once again. The film was originally scheduled to hit theatres on October 2 but was later pushed to October 9. However, the makers have now decided to skip the October 9 release as well, with the new release date yet to be announced.

Producer Naga Vamsi S – Press Meet & Media Interaction | Aadarsha Kutumbam

The major reason behind the postponement is the incomplete post-production work. The team is still working on certain portions of the film and also has two more songs to release. Instead of rushing the final work and delivering a hurried product, the makers have decided to take more time and ensure the film is properly ready for theatrical release.

Producer Naga Vamsi addressed the situation and admitted that the team has been working on the film for nearly a year. He explained that they do not want to reach a stage where the final copy is completed just before the release, as that can create several problems, including delays in ticket bookings and last-minute show cancellations. According to him, the incomplete work is the primary reason behind the postponement.

Naga Vamsi also dismissed the speculation that Adarsha Kutumbam has been postponed to give Jailer 2 an advantage, as both films are associated with the same production house. He made it clear that the decision has nothing to do with Jailer 2. At the same time, he confidently stated that Venkatesh’s fans will have every reason to celebrate and raise their collars once the film finally arrives in theatres.

With the new release date still under wraps, all eyes are now on when Adarsha Kutumbam will finally make it to the big screen.

Superstar Rajinikanth is back as Muthuvel Pandian, and this time, he appears to be facing a much bigger and darker threat. Jailer 2 reunites Rajinikanth with director Nelson Dilipkumar for the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Jailer. The trailer has raised expectations with its mix of action, drama, crime and entertainment.

JAILER 2 – Official Telugu Trailer | Superstar Rajinikanth | Sun Pictures| Anirudh | Nelson

The trailer reveals that Muthuvel Pandian has gone into exile and is living a low-profile life as a driver while keeping his real identity hidden. He faces humiliation along the way, but there is clearly a bigger plan behind his quiet life. Muthuvel is on a mission to take down a powerful crime syndicate involved in a major conspiracy.

Rather than simply hunting down his enemies one by one, Muthuvel appears to have a calculated strategy. He wants to bring the key members of the crime network under one roof before eliminating them once and for all. The trailer suggests that the sequel will take the story into a darker and more intense territory, with bigger action sequences and higher stakes.

Unlike the first Jailer, which had a strong family element, Jailer 2 seems to focus more heavily on crime, action and revenge. The trailer also expands the franchise with several new faces. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan, Jatin Sharma, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan and SJ Suryah are part of the cast.

The film also features several major stars in special cameo appearances. Mohanlal, Hrithik Roshan, Shiva Rajkumar and Vijay Sethupathi are expected to add further star power to the sequel. Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Rithvik are returning from the first part.

The trailer has received mixed reactions from fans. While expectations were extremely high following the success of Jailer, some feel that the trailer does not have enough mass moments compared to the first film. At the same time, Nelson appears to be taking a darker approach with the sequel, and several major surprises could have been kept under wraps for the theatrical experience.

With Anirudh Ravichander handling the music, Jailer 2 promises a bigger crime world, intense action and the return of one of Rajinikanth’s most popular characters. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on October 15, 2026.
