Director Ajay Bhupathi has completed the script work for Mangalavaaram 2, the sequel to his thriller Mangalavaaram. The film’s production is set to begin soon. A top-tier actress is expected to play the lead role in this much-anticipated sequel.
Success of Mangalavaaram and Plans for Sequel
Ajay Bhupathi made a strong impact with Mangalavaaram. While the film was not a massive box office hit, it brought substantial profits to the production team. The movie was praised for its powerful performances, haunting background score, and stunning cinematography.

Ajay Bhupathi is a Telugu film director known for his unique storytelling. His debut film, RX 100, was a major success, earning him the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Director (Telugu) in 2019. He later directed Mahasamudram, starring Sharwanand and Siddharth.
There were also reports that Bhupathi was considering casting Dhruv Vikram, son of Chiyaan Vikram, for a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding this project.
