Crest-fallen YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu was arrested on July 10th in Bengaluru by the Hyderabad police for making pedophilic content a few days ago. Hours after the arrest, Praneeth’s brother Aye Jude, a popular YouTuber, broke his silence.
In a 9-minute-long video, Jude spoke of his struggles. He revealed that he has had little to do with his family ever since he walked out of his home six years ago. “More than six years ago, I married my girlfriend from college days. I and my wife started living together, away from my parents. Even though my father is an IAS officer, I began from a zero. My wife supported me with investment to buy a camera. That’s when my journey as a YouTuber began,” Jude, whose YouTube channel has nearly 2.70 million followers, said.
He added that he couldn’t watch Praneeth’s problematic, objectionable video completely. “My sensibilities don’t accept even adult jokes. I am not the kind who enjoys humour filled with filthy words. Whoever does wrong is guilty. Be it my brother, be it anybody,” Jude added.
