Team Pindam During The shoot

The team behind “Pindam” provides a sneak peek into the creation of the horror drama and shares eerie experiences encountered during the shoot. Starring Sriram and Kushee Ravi, known for their roles in “Roja Poolu” and “Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule,” the horror thriller is directed by newcomer Saikiran Daida and produced by Yeshwanth Daggumati of Kalaahi Media.

Director Saikiran Daida shares insights into his experiences, explaining that the inspiration for the story came from a chilling incident narrated by his grandmother. Despite encountering practical challenges on set daily, including the need for a ‘dishti’ of the shooting location due to persistent issues, the team persevered to create a thrilling film. Casting child actors posed difficulties, but the team overcame setbacks to deliver a technically challenging horror film.

Sriram emphasizes that “Pindam” stays true to the horror genre without diluting it with unnecessary commercial elements. He recounts a particularly frightening incident involving Easwari Rao almost losing her eye during the shoot, emphasizing the film’s dedication to providing genuine scares and surprises.

Srinivas Avasarala, who joined the project after being impressed by a short film, sees “Pindam” as a learning curve, praising its screenplay as the backbone of the film. Kushee Ravi discusses her preparation for the role of a pregnant woman in the 90s, highlighting the unique experience of being able to indulge in a different diet to fit the character.

Co-writer Kavi Siddartha explains that “Pindam” evolved beautifully over time, adapting to varying tastes to create a script that offers a refreshing experience. Cinematographer Satish Manoharan notes the good synchronization with director Saikiran Daida, while composer Krishna Saurabh expresses confidence in the film living up to its tagline as the scariest film ever.

“Pindam” unfolds across three timelines – the present-day scenario, the 1930s, and the 1990s. The cast includes Sriram, Kushee Ravi, Easwari Rao, Avasarala Srinivas, and Ravi Varma. The film is produced by Kalaahi Media, and presented by Aarohi Daida, with Saikiran Daida serving as the writer and director. Satish Manohar handles the cinematography, Krishna Saurabh Surampalli provides the music, and the executive producer is Suresh Varma V. The film is set to offer audiences a spine-chilling experience when it hits the screens later this month.
