The teaser for Paradha, an upcoming mystery adventure film, was unveiled on January 22. The movie stars Anupama Parameswaran, Darshana Rajendran, and Sangitha in lead roles. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, who gained fame for his debut film Cinema Bandi (2021), this is his second directorial project. The film will release in both Telugu and Malayalam.
A Story of Mystery and Tradition
Paradha follows Subbu, played by Anupama Parameswaran, as she sets out on a life-changing journey. The teaser reveals Subbu spending ₹70 lakh during her travels, initially planning to end her life. Along the way, two other women, portrayed by Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha, join her. Together, they uncover mysteries tied to a village steeped in customs and superstitions.
A significant aspect of the story involves Subbu’s adherence to local traditions. She constantly veils her face with a “Paradha” (curtain), representing the village’s deep-rooted practices. The teaser also hints at the practice of Sati, adding a darker layer to the narrative.
The subtitle of the film, “In the Name of Love,” suggests a deeper emotional connection driving the plot.

Cinematographer Mridul Sujit Sen captures the rustic beauty of the rural setting, enhancing the authenticity of the narrative. Gopi Sundar’s intense background score adds emotional depth to the teaser.
