Founded in 1999 with the blessings of the late Gana Gandharva, Padma Bhushan SP Balasubrahmanyam, the ‘Little Musicians Academy’ is reaching a significant milestone as it completes 25 years. Under the guidance of Guru Ramachari, this academy has contributed numerous talented singers to the Telugu film industry.
Speaking at a press conference organized in anticipation of the upcoming celebration, Guru Ramachari shared his vision for the academy. “Little Musicians Academy has already produced many professional singers. We have been imparting musical education not only to those aspiring to sing in films but also to children with a genuine passion for music. Through our dedicated efforts and the support of our core committee, we aim to transform these young enthusiasts into singers who can contribute to major films, participate in reality shows, and perform on international stages. The overwhelming encouragement from the industry, including directors, producers, and music directors, has been instrumental in our journey.”
Guru Ramachari acknowledged the invaluable support from various figures in the Telugu film industry, including Director K. Raghavendra Rao, MM Keeravani, Koti, and others. “We are immensely grateful for their support, and with the blessings of God, we are gearing up to celebrate our Silver Jubilee on January 21. Dil Raju, who has been a long-time supporter, will preside over the event along with Raghavendra Rao. We extend our invitation to all the esteemed personalities from the film industry to grace this occasion.”
Adding his thoughts, Producer Dil Raju reflected on the longstanding association with Guru Ramachari. “I’ve known Guru Ramachari since our first film ‘Dil.’ He introduced the song ‘Mammu Kachinavadu’ in the movie, and since then, we’ve shared a connection. ‘Little Musicians Academy’ has not only nurtured aspiring singers but has also instilled a love for music in countless children. The academy has been providing remarkable talents to the Telugu cinema. As they celebrate their 25th year, I urge everyone to join us in making this celebration a grand success. The academy has been functioning in rented premises, and we are exploring avenues for government support to further their noble cause.”
The program also featured appearances by successful singers like Ramya Behra, a testament to the academy’s impact on shaping promising musical talents. As the ‘Little Musicians Academy’ prepares for its Silver Jubilee, the industry eagerly awaits this momentous celebration on January 21 at Shilpakala Vedika.
