A pan-Indian project has been shelved even before its formal launch. ‘Rakshas’, which was to be directed by ‘HanuMan’ maker Prasanth Varma, has been buried for now by Mythri Movie Makers.
In a statement today, actor Ranveer Singh described Varma as a special talent. “Hopefully, we will collaborate on something exciting in the future,” the Hindi actor said, sounding entirely non-controversial. He was supposed to be the hero of the multi-lingual release.
Varma said that Ranveer’s energy and talent are rare to find.
Looking at the language, you can say that producers Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar don’t want others to think that the actor and the director have developed serious differences. There were speculations that the producers had spent Rs 25 Cr on pre-production and a promo.
