Regina Cassandra is at the centre of a love story in ‘Utsavam’, which arrives at the cinemas on September 13th. She is paired up with Dilip Prakash in this drama film that also features Prakash Raj, Nassar, Rajendra Prasad and Brahmanandam.
Speaking to the media, Regina says that she saw a soul in the story of ‘Utsavam’ when director Arjun Sai gave her a narration. “I realized that this is the result of a deep research into the world of theatre,” the actress says, adding that “amazing songs” are a value-add. Anup Rubens is its music director, while a host of sought-after lyricists have penned the lines.

Regina accepted the film because her character is pivotal. “I play a corporate employee who is independent-minded. She doesn’t believe in romantic love,” the actress reveals.
Regine is thoroughly impressed with her co-artists, among them the “hardworking” Dilip. Regina, known for ‘Subrahmanyam For Sale’, ‘Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham’, ‘Routine Love Story, ‘Jyo Achyuthananda’ and a few other movies, is happy that Mythri Movie Makers’ distribution arm is releasing ‘Utsavam’ in the Telugu States.
