Audiences, spanning across families, are reveling in the heartfelt family emotions portrayed in the film ‘Gunturukaram,’ as expressed by producer Dil Raju. The movie stars Superstar Mahesh and is directed by Trivikram under the esteemed banner of Harika and Hasini Creations. Radhakrishna (China Babu) has ambitiously produced this monumental film, featuring Srileela and Meenakshi Chaudhary as heroines.
Released on January 12 as a Sankranthi gift amid high expectations, ‘Gunturukaram’ has not only met but exceeded those expectations by achieving a record opening collection of Rs 94 crores on its very first day. In a press conference held on Saturday, producer Suryadevara Nagavanshi expressed his delight, stating, “We are extremely pleased with the overwhelming response that ‘Gunturukaram’ has garnered since its release on January 12 for Sankranti. The collections have surpassed our expectations, proving that audiences have warmly embraced a regional Telugu movie rich in family emotions.”
Nagavanshi emphasized the positive audience reactions, mentioning that although there were mixed reviews in some places, the talk quickly subsided as the day progressed, especially before the evening shows. He described the film as a festive treat for families, urging everyone to come together and experience the joy of Mahesh and Trivikram’s cinematic creation, which encapsulates various elements such as songs, action sequences, and sentimental moments. Nagavanshi confidently guaranteed entertainment for all viewers.
Producer Dil Raju echoed the sentiment, extending his heartfelt wishes for a Happy Sankranti. Addressing the initial mixed reviews, he shared his personal experience of visiting Sudarshan theater in the middle of the night to verify the response. Dil Raju described ‘Gunturukaram’ as a movie centered around Mahesh Babu’s character, showcasing poignant family emotions, particularly the bond between a mother and son. He emphasized that the film is suitable for all family members, offering an emotional climax that resonates with audiences. Dil Raju observed the audience’s enjoyment during the mass song at the end and expressed confidence in the film’s continued success post the festival season. In closing, he acknowledged the occasional business challenges during the festive season but emphasized the absence of real enmity among producers, attributing such conflicts to the nature of the business.
