How did your film journey begin?
First I worked as a writer in the Bollywood industry. When I started writing stories and was on the trail of direction, the film that came to me was 105 minutes.
105 Minutes A New Concept How did this idea come about?
There are many stories. When I was writing a dialogue version for a movie. Different characters different locations different time periods were written like that. But I got the idea of taking a long shot of the same character at a particular time. I got the idea to take it in real time. That’s how this 105 minutes started. After making the story, I heard many. But she went into hiding and came out again in the lock down. I have a good relationship with Bommak Siva and he and I wanted to make a commercial film. But then the hero’s dates were not adjusted so this story was told. I told the story, I said single character, Raju asked how can you sit with a single character for two and a half hours. I will sit down and say the background music is very important. Katha believed me without even asking what I had done before.
What is the justification for this 105 minutes title?
If you sit there in real time and you see it live, it will feel like it is happening opposite to you. Not a single frame was too much, we completed it correctly in exactly 105 minutes.
How did it feel to take on Hansika Garu? Did you do any ground work for the single shot?
Hansika garu is very happy to accept our project. When I thought of the first story, I did not think of a single shot. But after listening to our DOP, he gave an idea that it can be done in a single shot. I haven’t heard of single shot but he made a reference to it saying there is such a thing. Since that day our DOP Kishore and I have done a lot of ground work. We completed the script work and made the story board. After doing the script work, we put together a story board and told Hansika. We felt very happy to accept and get excited after listening.
How did it feel to work with Hansika Garu as a debut director?
Hansika didn’t even ask when and what she did. They liked the story and told it in character. Hansika is very happy to do this movie. The attempt to show an air of glamor in the second shed was successful.
Is the film as complete as you thought the producer?
100% success. We took it as planned. We have shown a glamor girl very differently. Heroine does not mean songs and romance but there is performance in every frame.
There are no songs, no entertainment, and no dialogue in this movie. But the screenplay is very good. Normally everyone will figure out what’s next. But it is very difficult to know what will happen next after how are you going to make the audience sit with this movie?aking a challenge. You can’t expect what will happen not in the next minute, but even in the next second. The audience will definitely enjoy the movie.
Did you complete the film within the planned budget?
With the support of the producer, we completed the films within the planned budget.
Hansika is one character but will there be any other characters?
There is a shadow. There is an invisible character. The main team of the movie is a game where an invisible man puts panchabhutalan in a puppet and makes a girl cry.
Finally, what would you say to the audience to come to the theater?
A new concept. There are a lot of songs, fights, and comedy in the movies. But without them, the movie is 105 minutes with a new concept. The film based on the screenplay is a film that will surely enjoy every audio.
