The film ‘Animal,’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika, and directed by Sandeep Vanga, was released on December 1 and has received widespread acclaim with blockbuster talk. Dil Raju, the renowned producer and distributor responsible for releasing the movie in the Telugu states, held a separate media interaction to share his thoughts on the film’s success.
“As 2023 begins, I am thrilled that the films we produced and distributed have achieved considerable success. We are set to distribute ‘Hi Nanna’ this year. Regarding the movie ‘Animal,’ it garnered a record collection on its first day, connecting well with the audience. In the Telugu states alone, the gross collections reached approximately fifteen crores on the opening day. The momentum is expected to remain high in the coming days. We anticipate that ‘Animal’ will gross between 35 to 50 crore rupees in its first weekend. The entire team is overjoyed with this success. It exemplifies how cinema has become a global phenomenon. Prabhas, NTR, and Ram Charan’s films have tasted success on the pan-India stage. Our audience now embraces films featuring actors from other regions, proving that movies with relatable content resonate well with viewers. Sandeep Vanga’s distinctive filmmaking style, as seen in ‘Animal,’ has been instrumental in this success. While I also produce films like ‘Animal,’ I understand that my approach is perceived differently. Before venturing into such projects, I clarify the director’s vision and shooting style, ensuring alignment with the audience’s preferences.
Next year, we have four films in the pipeline under our Srivenkateswara Creations banner and three films under the Dilraju Productions banner. We plan to bring a total of seven films to the audience at the right time. ‘The Game Changer’ movie has completed over eighty percent of its shooting. It’s crucial to respect the time and schedules of directors like Rajamouli, Shankar, Sukumar, and Sandeep Vanga. Shankar is progressing according to plan, and ‘The Game Changer’ is in its final stages of shooting. The release date will be announced post-production, based on Shankar’s guidance,” Dil Raju stated.
He also shared plans to introduce three young directors for films under the Dil Raju Productions banner, featuring projects with Suhas, Ashish, and an additional venture titled ‘Aksama Thani Vastava.’ Dil Raju expressed excitement about the upcoming slate of films and the potential they hold.
