In addition to Prime Minister Modi, Congress state president Ajay Rai has also announced his decision to contest from Varanasi, with his nomination slated for May 10th. Rai has already commenced his campaign efforts, engaging with the electorate in anticipation of the upcoming polls.

Furthermore, candidates from the Bahujan Samaj Party and PDM Justice March are also in the fray, with nominations scheduled from May 9th to mid-May 13th, adding to the electoral dynamics of Varanasi.
