The sequel to the blockbuster horror entertainer “Geethanjali,” titled “Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi,” is rapidly progressing through its shoot and is slated for a grand release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages in early 2024.
In 2014, the gorgeous beauty Anjali starred in the original “Geethanjali,” which not only emerged as a box-office success but also set a trend for small-budget films in the horror-comedy genre. Now, the much-anticipated sequel, produced by Kona Venkat under Kona Films Corporation in collaboration with MVV Cinemas, is making waves.
Anjali, reprising her lead role, marks her milestone 50th film in her illustrious career, ensuring that the sequel maintains the same horror-comedy charm. The production team is investing significantly in “Geethanjali Malli Vachindi,” aiming to elevate the horror-comedy genre to new heights.
The film is set to have a Pan India release, targeting audiences in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Alongside Anjali, the cast includes Srinivas Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, Shakalaka Shankar, Satya, Sunil, Ravi Shankar, Srikanth Iyyengar, and popular Malayalam actor Rahul Madhav, making his Telugu debut.
Currently in progress, the shoot has been advancing swiftly, with 80 percent completion achieved so far. The storyline unfolds in Hyderabad and Ooty, offering a perfect blend of urban and scenic backdrops. The directorial reins for “Geethanjali Malli Vachindi” have been handed over to Shiva Thurlapati, an accomplished choreographer based in Atlanta, US, who previously worked on films like “Ninnu Kori” and “Nishabdam.”
Kona Film Corporation, known for nurturing young talent, is making its mark once again with this production. Pravin Lakkaraju is responsible for the film’s musical score, while Suhatha Siddhartha is the cinematographer. The story is crafted by Kona Venkat, ensuring a cohesive and engaging narrative.
Bankrolled by MVV Satyanarayana and GV under MVV Cinema and Kona Film Corporation, the makers are gearing up to deliver another blockbuster with the sequel. The release is scheduled for early 2024, promising fans and audiences alike an exciting and thrilling cinematic experience.
