Sudheer Babu describes ‘Maa Nanna Superhero’ as a triangular love story between a son and his two fathers. The strange concept has surprised many. Will the film hold on to the mystery behind ‘two dads’ for too long?
“This hasn’t been made as a thriller to keep the audience guessing. You will understand the storyline right at the start of the film. The experience lies in how the characters tackle the different situations life throws at them,” Sudheer Babu says.
Sudheer Babu’s character loves his father for the world. “You don’t need to elaborate on such an emotion. Everything about the movie, be it the performances or the camera movements, is so measured. Nothing is over-the-top,” the actor says. Sai Chand and Sayaji Shinde have played the two fathers.
Abhilash Reddy of ‘Loser’ (web series) fame is the film’s director. “There have been a lot of films revolving around a father-son relationship. But ‘Maa Nanna Superhero’ is way different in terms of what it does with the ‘one son, two dads’ idea,” the ‘Harom Hara’ actor says.
The ‘Sammohanam’ actor is so glad that Superstar Mahesh Babu found the Trailer of ‘Maa Nanna Superhero’ heart-touching. He describes the producers of the movie, Vikram and Vamsi, as his friends. “Back in the early 2000s, we used to distribute movies. We distributed ‘Arya’ and a few other movies,” Sudheer Babu recalls.
‘Maa Nanna Superhero’ will arrive at the cinemas on October 11th.
